And who says that those alternative #Bitcoin mining pools aren't also being controlled by the same party? Or collaborating?

if miners feel there is something concerning with the pool, then they can just switch pools. I understand why people think this way, but I believe it's really not that concerning now. however this may not age well and it does get centralized, but I'm going to go with it won't be a real concern.

there will be more like Ocean in the future to choose from. what if it becomes the wild west and everyone has to solo pool mine?
