Pre-crime is here baby!
After “we have closed your account because we suspect you have committed a crime,” here comes “we have closed your account because we suspect you may commit a crime in the future.”
DARPA has announced plans to launch a pre-crime AML program that attempts to stop money laundering before it happens, and it’s just as bad as it sounds.
This is the stuff that nightmares are made of.
