A few years ago I told a high finance guy I know that I look at the US stock market as one basket of assets and I see bitcoin as a seperate market.
He thought I was insane because he spends all day picking stocks and managing risk between them.

He is part of the system that equalizes his market to eliminate arbitrage between stocks. Naturally he won't see it that way. The DJI/S&P pretty much encapsulate the entire thing.
