Cinammon on Linux Mint is starting to irk me with its details and not working things and some basic functionalities not being supported.
Guess I will have to distro-hop for a new solution again

On a slightly more serious note, could try installing a different desktop environment without hopping away altogether?
I'm a bit torn on this option because I get a bit frustrated when I have multiple DEs installed and all the related apps basically duplicated in menus...
