My bank froze my account with MY MONEY inside, no warning, no explanation, and now they’re refusing to reinstate it! This is exactly why banks are broken: they think they have the right to control our funds at a moment’s notice. I’m DONE with this centralized nonsense. Bitcoin is the only real option we have if we want true control over our money. With Bitcoin, no one can lock you out of what’s yours. #Bitcoin

while the control you have of "your" Bitcoin is an improvement over a custody agreement with a bank, there are thresholds of BTC below which the coins cannot be meaningfully spent.
and Lightning still does not solve this, as there are financial middlemen there, too.
