If you're using Amethyst, hellthreads aren't a problem. On some other clients they lead to a storm of notifications on threads with many tags in the op. Every comment, reaction, etc leads to a notification of every tagged npub. +1 for Amethyst

No- I’m using primal and get all notifications as you mentioned, and can’t mute the conversation.
