Jolly Cattle I always wondered… We see a lot of hacker groups sharing URLs to DDOS. They usually claim success on some URLs which they say are down. Are they really down ? Does it last long ? What is the real impact on these ? If it were a huge problem, wouldn't we hear about it in the news ? Sorry for the dumb, naive questions. I just want to understand if this actually has a real impact or not.
Bad Peacock most of the sites they list are basically available. The CBI are offline, as an example to a successful one - but in reality, who visits the CBI website? Probably about 100 people a day. Some of the outages do make the news btw, if you google NoName. It's usually regional impacts.
