I would consider **NOT** tilling. tilling kills biological life. I appreciate destruction brings growth, but I think you'd be better off not tilling. I'd prep as you were, but instead of tilling, deep mulch. like a foot deep.

Normally I'd agree, but we have invasive ivy growing along my fence. It's killing my garden, and was growing up through my compost. So I moved things further away. Hopefully, tilling helps some. I know it'll be like trying to punch water into submission, but hopefully I can get a few harvests 🤣😂
