My politics as a progressive in the U.S. are pro-capitalism with common sense taxation, support for business and Americans to prosper and climb ladders, and supportive programs that actually help the poor, usually in private/public partnership with basic services left to city management This will look different city by city, but its basic 90s/early 2000s prosperity. It’s not perfect, but socialism (like closer to communism) doesn’t work in the U.S.
