for reaaaal but actually, it's more that people actually have no idea what knowledge is sufficient, and a lot of stuff is pure guesses. it's easier to find out what doesn't work, but it requires making mistakes (and half-mistakes, and good-enough-but moves, etc.), and it requires... actually doing things.
