The job search did a number on my mental health. 4 times I made it to the final round, all required presentations etc. 3 times I was recruited but no interview. I was selective, they were all dream jobs. I ended the search for my mental health, and started getting contracts immediately. Success!! It should be a bigger compliment than the rejections. Yet the rejections still keep coming after I've given up, to remind me that I'm unemployable in the spaces I built up my career to be in.
