The Governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha, was at the wake of the Military Police Sub-Lieutenant of the Federal District, Adilson Reis de Araújo Silva, on Saturday (31). The coffin with Adilson's body arrived at the cemetery in a procession led by Military Police vehicles in an open truck of the Federal District Fire Brigade. I hope God receives him and gives comfort to that family, and we will make all the honors to Adilson,' he added. In recognition of his services, Ibaneis Rocha announced the posthumous promotion to the rank of Lieutenant, which will be possible due to Decree No. 47,245/2025 of May 12, which changed the rules for promoting sub-lieutenants by eliminating the requirement for an internal competition. During the week, the governor had already decreed an official three-day mourning period in the Federal District, as published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Federal District (DODF). The sub-lieutenant died in the early hours of last Thursday (29), a victim of a traffic accident on the Parque Núcleo Bandeirante Highway (EPNB).
