Thinking back on my childhood and teenage years. We had a TV in every room. I had one, my brother's had each their own. Those boxes were constantly on, even for background noise. I liked watching TV, especially Simpsons and a documentary show called Galileo. "I'm getting smarter" I told myself. But over the years the quality of Galileo dropped significantly. At some point they carved out a whole section for a fat guy called Jumbo reporting on the biggest junk food he could eat. I got really frustrated with this enshittification. When I saw a Jumbo special announced, I was around 18 years old, and I finally decided to switch off the TV for good.
So, I guess thank you Jumbo for pushing me over the edge and never wanting to watch TV again 🫡
