Protonmail has an alias option that I've been using and it's working well

Oh nice. I expect that's not dissimilar than the Apple feature. Just upset that no obvious indicator when checking the mail you just sent out. Got a scare from that. Will be using alt email accounts more consistently in future to avoid possible blunders or misclicks, is my takeaway

The proton / SimpleLogin approach has you send to an alias outbound so you can see that you used aliases in your outbox.
