That is a great point .. do we know what percentage of homes are in investment category and how many are real utility..
But the counter is ..if home prices reduces , why anyone would make homes ? .. Demand always leads the supply .. not the other way around !

You'll always need to build houses to live and do stuff in them. People will continue to need houses forever for as many reasons as there's people.
Houses are music studios for musicians, vegetarian restaurants, hotel places, etc. People will always make music, grow food, make great vegetarian food, have Indian vegetarian weddings (which I think are beautiful by the way :) in natural places, etc, etc, etc.
The only difference is that they'll be cheaper. But it will always have a price, the actual price of the work that went it to it.
No more and no less, the real price of it.
