In winter we do most of our cooking in or on our wood fire over. Serves the duel purpose of heating the house and cooking at the same time. We are hibernate in the winter people and don't use a lot of lights and go to bed early. Summer we don't need the lights and we cook a lot outdoors. I will forever be greatful that electricity existing for the laundry and the washing up. I know I don't really need to use electricity for those chore but I like to and it saves a whole lot of time.
