In some sense joburg is a libertarian paradise. No one expects anything from the government, and people have taken many practical measures for self sufficiency and security. It's also really cheap, beautiful forrested suburbs, good restaurants, and many places accept Bitcoin e.g. Pick n Pay, one of the largest supermarket chains.
