It's inappropriate to think you're entitled to a tip from the people you're supposed to be waiting on, because you feel like you're not paid a fair wage, even though you agree to do the job anyway.

I used to cook. The main reason I don't now is the pay difference and bitchy servers. This was in a tourist town that was crazy busy in the summer.
I tried to get a tip bucket for the cooks or get tipped out if a certain threshold was crossed. The servers had no problem ordering stuff that was not on the menu to get a bigger tip. They didn't like it when I refused to make it 😄
