I first heard about T-cells when I watched #StarTrekTNG's "Genesis" as a kid. It made me interested in immunobiology and genetics, which led to me becoming a biology teacher. It was Ogawa's unborn child that helped fight the T-cell virus in the episode and now Patti Yasutake has died from a rare form of T-cell lymphoma. She will always be part of my curriculum from now on! #RIP, Patti Yasutake!
