About 18 months ago, I cancelled my home insurance. Now we're about 2 days away from being hit by a tropical cyclone. The sats I've saved aren't going to go far in rebuilding. My house is on a hill and unlikely to be flooded. Strong winds & falling trees are my biggest threat. Taking responsibility for everything can be hard to swallow sometimes. #Alfred
