My apologies if I’m mistaken but I think Norse is generally used to refer to Nordic languages in general. Likewise, the terms “Norsemen” and “Northmen” are/were used to refer to the Nordic people in general (which would stretch as far as Iceland and the Faroe Islands as well as the early Normans),... show more
