Eric Cartagena SUPERMAX Final It's used by GrapheneOS to provide much better exploit protection but not by the stock OS. We use it for the OS, bundled apps and a few known compatible apps by default but you can opt into using it for all user installed apps via Settings > Security & privacy > Exploit protection (a menu we add).

Eric Cartagena SUPERMAX Final Some apps have memory corruption bugs it will find and you'll need to use the per-app toggle to turn it off for them. That's why the toggle to enable it for all user installed apps by default exists. We'd like to have it enabled for all user installed apps by default but too many would break.
