Here's the page on the TSA's own website confirming you have the right to opt out of the facial recognition scan. Bring this with you next time you fly so you can tell them to fuck off if they give you a hard time.

They and the airline already have the scans of your face so I’m not sure what good it does exactly but I always opt out. It’s shocking the masses of people who don’t even give it a thought and go right along with it. 😕

once when boarding a plane with my entire family(with very small children) they told me if we wanted to opt out. I’d have to bring someone over to do a manual security check. I said if that’s what they wanna do, but I wanna opt out. And then another agent said just let em go through and they let... show more

I almost always opt out for the tap, I guess I have not been paying attention to the cameras. How do you go through opting out of that? And what about the recent addition to cameras on the self check out at whole foods. I am like .. I don't wanna be filmed and I also want to self check out.
