Well, I can only go by how its presented here in the US, and its usually in a way that gives the impression that its 24/7/365 mass murder. The same way inner city violence is portrayed here. I know first hand that is bullshit, so always assumed the same about the SA issue.

The US may sensationalise, but the South African media often covers up and refers to it as “allegedly” or “allegations” when it is a widely known fact.

That's because when the case is in court they have to say allegedly or allegations otherwise that's public disparity on a suspect without proving anything. You should know this
