Act accordingly, stack sats.
The censorship narrative is old gaslighting. The slipstream of Marathon does nothing for their fee revenue bottom line and unless Bitcoin goes to 200k or beyond this cycle they will probably end up bankrupt one bear market away from now. GFY
You can tell me to GFMS about slipstream all you want but I didn’t hear anything about how this would stop spam by running knots. It doesn’t change consensus rules and other nodes will receive the spam regardless. Fine if you’re trying to save space on your node but it doesn’t do anything to solve... show more

Mempool filters aka knots does nothing to change the code. Adversarial miners like Marathon will create their own mempool for spam and charge a premium for it and miners will accept it. This then takes away the free market of users setting their fee, rather it’s a centralized player setting a... show more
Knots is creating newly motivated node runners, which is what I like to see. Good guy Knots. #knots
op_returns are still allowed in blocks according to consensus rules regardless of if you’re running knots or not. If you were to change that you’d hard fork bitcoin. He can’t actually remove the spam with these mempool filters. Even if every node enables his mempool policies the transactions would... show more

Knots seems like the right move but the secondary effects of censorship create a bigger problem
The beauty of open source isn’t just about submitting PRs, it’s about aligning code with Bitcoin’s cypherpunk vision: individual sovereignty, resistance to centralized control, and decentralized sound money. I don’t need to be a coder to see when changes, like OP_RETURN limit increases, risk... show more

This is fire!!! I’ll be ordering one
Jesse Posner & Erik Cason on THE Bitcoin Podcast today in ONE HOUR — live stream for #nostronly on Big Jaguar at 4PM US CST We’re going to be talking about their new company vora.io and whatever else comes up. Let me know if you have any questions 👇
This is your issue brother 😔 Can't be trying to run a full node using that shit, it requires a few reboots usually to finish an IBD if you're using something like Umbrel for ex. It's unreliable tbh.
Agreed I stayed away from the raspberry pi for my new node. It is a desktop mini with 16gb of Ram and 2TB
I have a shitty node downloading through knots with filters on. Pretty sure it’s bogged down following rules 🫠
