Pastures are winding down for the season. Been an unusual year, sold off more lambs as breeding stock and feeders rather than growing them out until the fall butchering. Hard to say if all the things we did to improve the pastures was worth it. Crimping, mowing, grazing more intensively... show more

This is the best the pastures have looked at this point in the season since increasing the stocking density to push the limits of what it can sustain. There are a couple changes which lead to the improvement in pasture quality late in the season, even with the unfavorable weather this year. ... show more
