Last fall I split horse radish, comfrey, rhubarb, and hazelnut along with cup plant in the spring. Then, transplanted it amongst the fruit trees in the silvopasture where we graze our sheep.

So far, good success with only a few dead plants. The summer heat might cause some casualties as these plants will not be watered. Plus the potential of a rough sheep here or there. All in all, I'm feeling confident many will make it through.

Day 38: #grownostr initiative
I pulled this Lamb's Ear up from the side of the road while out driving yesterday. I had never seen one before and it caught my eye. Its leaves are so soft...it is appropriately named! I transplanted it into one of my gardens in hopes of propagating more of this... show more

Lavender, basil, and sage added to the list. Only doing one of each cause our plants are small and the wife wants to dry some, so I’m rolling the dice on a single cutting lol

#grownostr #biochar #propagation #plants doing a test to see if elderberry and blackberry will root in biochar. My sand solo cups seem to be working well.

I’m always testing new methods to propagate plants. Doing two batches of elderberry cuttings. 1 in compost, 1 in sand/perlite. Both sitting in trays of water.
